Uganda May 2017 (Pastor Training)
Wednesday, May 24, 2017 to Friday, June 2, 2017
One of the great successes of our ministry over the years is the way God has opened doors to reach pastors. In Uganda, pastors are the true conduits through which God moves in a community to transform it. The problem is that resources are truly scarce for village pastors, and training is often inadequate. Man Up and Go has been asked to provide specific doctrinal and theological training for men who do not have degrees but are serving pastors nonetheless. To serve on this team, we are looking for a small group of men, preferably with theological training or an equivalency degree, to teach basic theology. What is taught will be dependent upon who God leads to serve on this trip, but competency in homiletics, hermeneutics, apologetics, church history, basic Christian theology, Old Testament and New Testament (among others), are desired. This pastors conference will take place in rural northeast Uganda in the areas of Kibuku and Pallisa.
Qualifications: Trip participants must agree and adhere to Man Up and Go initiatives, policies, and procedures at all time. Most importantly, you must agree with Man Up and Go's Purpose Statement: To fight for the fatherless by restoring families around the globe.
