2016 in Review

The purpose of Man Up and Go is to fight for the fatherless by restoring families around the globe. While numbers alone do not tell the whole story, we are encouraged to report the following ways we fought on behalf of the fatherless. In 2016, Man Up and Go:

Engaged 2165 orphans on short term trips, loving them, teaching them VBS, and learning from them

Empowered 120 single mothers or widows with vocational training or biblical teaching, or by purchasing product from them

Sponsored 32 children at Kerith’s Children’s Home or Bethel Junior School with housing, clothing, food, and school fees

Equipped 1440 men at conferences on what it means to Man Up for Jesus

Sponsored 616 men to participate in our first ever Man Up Soccer Tourney, an outreach to tell them about Jesus and get them plugged into a local church

That means 4373 folks were touched in a signficant way by the ministry the Lord has given us last year. These numbers don’t include the approximately 4000 students in front of whom we spoke at various campus outreaches. This has given us a tremendous jumpstart in reaching our 20k by 2020 initiative goal.

While the big numbers speak loudly, the smaller ones grab our attention even more. We take joy knowing we’re giving hope to individuals like Asio (HIV positive) and Sandra (no parents), two of several children who were sponsored by Man Up and Go supporters this year. We are grateful for all the Lord did in 2016, and count a privilege to work alongside our ministry Champions who see how great the need is and support the work we do to meet those needs in Jesus’ name.

We pray for an even better 2017 ahead of us!
