Families showed up for a Christmas Party surprised to find fun activities for the kids, gingerbread houses and dance parties and parents had the chance to shop and make selections for their kids in the Christmas store and then presents were wrapped and sent home with them along with a Christmas dinner. Parents then picked up their kids and got to visit Santa and have pancakes together.
MUSGF also gave each family gift cards for each child in their home for them to spend however and a meal out for the holidays.
5 volunteers for the residential project.
We’ll be giving 12 boys in residential facility Christmas gifts and Life Point Church partnered with us to provide a virtual reality gaming system that will benefit the entire cottage of boys.
Man Up Kansas City has come together for their first ever Man Up 100 Christmas serve!
Here are some pictures and quotes from the foster families.
“It went great. They were really nice and the kids made the whole thing awesome. They were absolutely stoked. The “Santa’s coming!!” scene from Elf was relived when one of the kids saw the hot chocolate. 🙂“
“Oh my goodness. Thank you so much for the gifts. That was such a tremendous blessing. We lost power in the storm for over 24 hours and our food went bad. So that gift card will help stock our fridge and freezer. Thank you so much!!!! 😭🥺 we feel so seen by God.”
This weekend we had a Life Skills weekend with the young men in AMP’d. Life Skills weekends are where we bring the young men out to spend the weekend having meaningful conversations, learning real life skills, and engaging with our experienced men.
These weekends are important for our young men to gain perspective, be heard, and build their future goals. We want to help guide them as they navigate this next chapter of their lives.
Thank you for being a part of the Fall Football Fling!
We want to start off by saying that none of this is possible without Jesus. God has called us to be a light, to stand for justice, and to love the orphan and widow. Man Up is dedicated to this call. We are glad and thankful that you are also dedicated to this call with us!
We had an incredible turn out of over 170 individuals which made up 90 families. (Not including online attendees) You helped us raise over $66,000.00!!! This is the most we have ever raised at our Fall Football Fling and the first time that every square from the Big Board was taken.
We are grateful for the support of the Pinellas Community Foundation, and in particular, the Faith Mission Grant, for their support of our Adopt a Family program in the Northern Pinellas Communities (Tampa Bay). Foster parents will have a greater degree of communication and support because of your generosity – thank you so much!
Our gatherings across the U.S. were a huge success. We are so happy to see men engaging in the fight for their local fatherless children. These men have not only acknowledged the call of James 1:27 but they are now acting on it! Here are some photos of the gatherings below:
