amp'd

AMP’d is designed to be a brotherhood between experienced men (EM’s) and young men aging out of foster care (YM’s) who want to help one another grow in authentic masculinity.
Our vision is to develop authentic men who break the cycle of generational fatherlessness.
The program pairs young men aging out of foster care with trained experienced men who walk with them through a series of competencies and proficiencies that ultimately produces faithful husbands, loving fathers, active community members, and positive contributors to society.
Our mission is to create an environment where the end result of self-sustaining, goal-setting, community-contributing, aged-out foster young men, is possible.
Older youth who age out of foster care experience an increased risk for homelessness, young parenthood, low educational attainment, and high unemployment rates.
“Supporting Older Youth Beyond Age 18: Examining Data and Trends in Extended Foster Care;” Child Trends, 6/3/19.
Every year 20,000 youth age out of foster care.
