Kansas City is Manning Up!

March Gathering

  • We had 20 come on Monday to our Q3 Gathering – we talked about our mission to fight for the fatherless, we celebrated our past projects, and talked about some upcoming spring clean up projects.

Sink Install

  • Last month two of our members (Brian Varney and Mark Stern) replaced a leaky sink for a single mom in our program. Now she doesn’t have to empty the ever filling bucket of water under her drain!

Shoe Shopping

  • Last month one of our members (Paul Banister) took two of our AAF kids out shoe shopping. He wanted to give these young men a cool new pair of shoes that they could be proud of. Paul even went on to tell them that if they could show him good grades next semester that he would take them out shopping again.

Merry Christmas with Man Up Kansas City

Man Up Kansas City has come together for their first ever Man Up 100 Christmas serve!

Here are some pictures and quotes from the foster families.

It went great.  They were really nice and the kids made the whole thing awesome.  They were absolutely stoked.  The “Santa’s coming!!” scene from Elf was relived when one of the kids saw the hot chocolate.  🙂

“Oh my goodness. Thank you so much for the gifts. That was such a tremendous blessing. We lost power in the storm for over 24 hours and our food went bad. So that gift card will help stock our fridge and freezer. Thank you so much!!!! 😭🥺 we feel so seen by God.”

MAN UP GOES TO KANSAS CITY, MO!

August 24th, our Man Up staff headed over to Kansas City to meet the new leaders and Man Up team members. They quickly found out how excited our new leaders are to serve local families and live out James 1:27.

The 25th was Launch Day for Man Up Kansas City. This launch couldn’t have been any better! We had a turn out of over 50 men who were excited about the mission and over half of those men had already committed to serving before coming to the launch.

We then met with local advocates who have a shared passion to care for the children in the foster care system. Needless to say, this was a successful launch and we give God all the praise!

Man Up 100 2021-2022 Term Launch

We cannot wait to serve and support foster and adoptive families with you on our team! Here is a sneak peak of of some of the serves we have done this past year! We had churches, businesses, and plenty Man Up 100 members join us for diaper deliveries, food deliveries, home projects, and more!
