Support the community of Masese III by purchasing one of these beautiful, hand-crafted Ugandan paper bead jewelry from the Man Up and Go Etsy store, Mission4Masese. Not only are the jewelry pieces stunning, but all proceeds go directly back into the community.
The jewelry is made from strips of paper by the Karamojong women from the slums of Masese III in Uganda. The women who create these pieces are paid generous and fair wages for every necklace they make. This means they have a reliable source of income for their families.
We then sell the jewelry in the U.S. at a fair price, and the proceeds are sent back to Uganda where they fund the Bethel Junior School. Man Up partnered with Home Again Ministry to start this school in 2012, and they now have over 250 students enrolled! Bethel Junior is one of only 3 schools in the entire Masese area, and the only private one to provide a Christian education to these children who otherwise would not be in school. The sales of these necklaces are truly changing lives in this Ugandan community!
